Our Story

Pitch King was born out of a simple truth: coaching youth baseball is one of the most fun and rewarding challenges a parent can take on. As a volunteer coach for my son’s team, I quickly realized that nothing beats the joy of watching young players grow, gain confidence, and fall in love with the game.

But along with the fun came challenges. Time away from the sport and nagging shoulder and arm injuries made it harder for me to consistently throw strikes. Like many volunteer coaches, I often struggled to keep practices efficient and ensure every player got the reps they needed.

The obstacles went beyond my own limitations. Coaching shortages, limited practice times or access to facilities, the high cost of quality equipment, and the constant search for training tools that actually work all made it harder to help players reach their potential. For many families, finding open space at commercial batting cages or training centers was another challenge—squeezing practices into already packed schedules, dealing with travel times, or competing with other teams for limited availability. Too often, the stress of coordinating facility time overshadowed the fun of simply playing and developing.

And even when I tried to bridge the gap, I often turned to different tools or gadgets that promised results but fell short—leaving wasted time, wasted money, and frustrated players still waiting for consistent reps.

Practices could drag, players not getting the quality or quantity of reps needed, and valuable time was lost—time that should have been spent developing skills, building confidence, and enjoying the game.

We knew there had to be a better way.
